What happens if I lose signal while scanning?
Spines keeps your photo and scans it when you're back online.
Charity shops are often signal black spots. You don't lose your photo when that happens.
No signal when you tap Scan
Spines saves the photo and shows Saved — we'll scan it when you're back online. When your connection comes back, it sends the photo by itself. You don't need to do anything.
While it waits, you'll see a Waiting for connection card on the Home screen. Tap Retry there if you want to try straight away.
Signal drops in the middle of a scan
If your photo was already sent, the scan keeps running and the results appear in History when they're ready. If it wasn't sent, tap Try Again.
