What do “For You” and “Worth Grabbing” mean?

How Spines picks out books for you, and how to filter a shelf down to them.

The badges

  • For You means the book matches your taste: a genre you love, an author you love, or books like the ones you've loved before.
  • Worth Grabbing is the short list. It's a For You book that readers also rate 4 stars or more, and one you haven't passed on. This one is part of Premium.
  • On your wishlist means you told Spines you're hunting for this book or author.

When Spines says there are gems on a shelf, it means these picks. It's about your taste, not how rare a book is or what it might sell for.

Filtering a shelf

Above your results there's a row of filters. Tap For You or Wishlist to see only those books. With Premium you can also filter by prize winners (like the Booker or the Pulitzer), NYT bestsellers, cult classics, books on screen, and 4+ stars.
